A Grounded eagle . .

Time and time again i have heard many stories about eagles, about how the soar the highest and live in the highest mountains. How one rarely sees a grounded eagle

Funny how they hunt small ground creatures but are always in a soar with their long outstretched wings, looking mean or at least that is what i had imagined them from the myths

I nearly believed that such birds can never get ground dirt. How now, that would equate them to chickens

Then i met this mighty creature in Lake Nakuru national park on the forest floor.
A quiet and peaceful area that you would never even imagine that there could be any action taking place

A see, the highly spoken about bird also drinks water from a stream. The sight in itself was to behold and though it saw me stop, it continued on with its business. I wished for the Canon 100 -400mm as i was on the 200mm

I still uphold the myths of this great bird. Even on the ground, the eagle has a story to tell
